About me
Background
For the past 28 years I have worked worldwide as a performer on stage, film and television. During this time I have met many people with different backgrounds, life experiences and expectations.
It is my interest in people’s individuality alongside my exploration of the human psyche through my work as an actor that has sparked my fascination with psychology, and has further informed my practice of clinical hypnotherapy.
I strongly believe in listening to the patient, and always provide treatments specifically tailored to the needs of each individual. I believe that this is essential if success is to be achieved.
Qualifications
Whilst working as an actor I studied with the Open University and was awarded an honours degree in Psychology. I am now a full member of the British Psychological Society (BPS) and the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC) who provide ongoing professional development and require strict codes of professional and ethical conduct.
I gained seven years' experience working as a voluntary counsellor in the charitable sector before going on to study Clinical Hypnotherapy at postgraduate level with the London College of Clinical Hypnosis (affiliated to the University of West London), where I was awarded a Postgraduate Certificate with Distinction.
I am now working as a fully qualified clinical hypnotherapist and have a clinic in E1, London.
